At the 12th April 2008 the RRDXA Spring Meeting 2008 took place in Waltrop, Germany. 44 RRDXA interested YLs/OMs from DL, including our friends from LX, ON and PA, followed DJ6QT's invitation.
Our chairman Walter, DJ6QT, warmly welcomed all RRDXA members and gave a detailed overview through the RRDXA activities in 2007, including the main contest activities, our booth at the Ham Radio 2007 fair and that the RRDXA is now member of the RTA (Round Table Amateurradio) in Germany. The RRDXA mailing list is hosted by mailman.qth.net and is working reliable since years. QTH.NET does only work through donates and they would like to extend their small computer center. Walter, DJ6QT, proposed to send a donate of 100 Euro to support their work. The proposal was accepted by the present RRDXA members. Walter, DJ6QT, already informed us in time before the meeting that he would like to retire from the RRDXA chairmanship. Hans-Jürgen, DL1YFF, was the only one proposed by the RRDXA members and therefore elected without a dissentient vote. We congratulate DL1YFF for his new RRDXA chairmanship and wish him good luck for his future work. Hans-Jürgen selected Horst, DK1QH as the new treasurer. Many thanks also to Walter, DJ6QT, for his amazing RRDXA work. DL1YFF nominated DJ6QT as a lifetime honorary chairman of the RRDXA. Interested OMs/YLs might please get in contact with DL1YFF. It was remembered that the BCC does have their 25th anniversary this year. It was also remembered that we had in former times selected OMs to send out contest reminders, contest announcements and deadline reminders. These OMs are for the following contests:
